 Tariffs: Taxable goods taxes and overseas sales taxes. They basically increase the price of imported goods. Two years later, the difference in vocabulary development has increased significantly (Fernald, Marchman, and Weisleder 2013). This study was conducted by researchers at Stanford University and used pictures, explanations, and eye reactions to test the language processing of children between 18 and 24 months. Because the images of the two familiar objects are displayed on the screen, each child is sitting on the caregiver's knee.
