The LGBT community has fought for equal rights with direct companions and continues now. Many people will believe that they should support the LGBT community and that they should have the same rights as heterosexuals; however, that the LGBT community should have rights such as marriage, adoption, etc. The number of people who agree on the moment the marriage problem is raised, many people will claim that marriage is a combination of men and women. Gay marriage and marriage in the LGBT community are a problem dating back to the 1970s.

In 1996, President Clinton passed the "marriage protection law". The Marriage Protection Law defines marriage as "a legal union between men and women."
