Deceit, Despair and Dejection in Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter and Anderson's Speak

Humans feel from happiness to melancholy, indifference. Every time the author grasps the specific emotions experienced by a person, the author makes the character a reality. Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Red Letter" and Laurie Halse Anderson's "Speak" are two perfect writers who have mastered the art of capturing emotions in the character. Nathaniel Hawthorne 's Scarlet Letter imagines the explanation of Jonathan Pue' s Hester Prynne. The narrator, probably Hawthorne, tried over the real red letter and the story behind it at the second floor of the Customs building abandoned at his office. Hawthorne found that the story is romance, scandal, fraud and decided to release the story to the public. Through the joint efforts of Hawthorn and Pue, the scarlet letter became a cultural symbol and became a masterpiece of literature.
