Dead Men's Path

Michael Obi is a young reformist thinker educator living in Nigeria in January 1949. His mission is to reform Ndume Central School, a place known for its progress and lack of retreat.

Michael and his wife Nancy came to the village with the aim of forcing it to the present age. The two goals are to implement high standards of education and turn school campus into a beautiful place.

One evening, Mike saw an old lady crossing a weak road in the premises. After consulting with some faculty and staff, Michael knew that the school tried to close the road in the past and was strongly opposed by a nearby village. Fearing the bad impression of government educators planning to visit, Michael drew a fence on the way and wire mesh. Three days after the fence was established, Michael met with the pastor of the village and explained the relationship between the importance of the road and the animistic belief of the villagers. Michael insists that the road is still closed and explains that the purpose of the school is to abolish this ancestral belief.

At night, flowers and hedges are torn apart and they die.
