Day 1: Introduction, narrative tensions and interactions

Subsequent contemporary and ongoing dialogue to answer these questions provides a tension that links the different experiences and practices of narrative research and quest.

Mark discusses the practice of narrative research as participation in these tensions and uses his example in the work of a new media story to discuss mediation, collaboration, and diversity.

Margareta Hydén's analysis of interpersonal violence experience first led her to a story analysis. She discussed about her path to violence such as periodic nature and social status of interpersonal violence.

Margarita emphasizes the importance of observing the interaction of multiple stories and understanding the story space and its effects. She also made a speech through her innovative interview tool "Personal Social Network Map."

The first dialectic (pages 4 to 6) refers to daily exchanges. Some refer to tension in culture and others mention tension in intercultural communication. Ability to define and solve differences in different tensions (Figure 1). In the interaction, and from time to time, the exact balance between people changes (for example, if we follow the script, culture may have more influence on our behavior. But, culture always plays a role more or less.

Surface Tensions is an interactive narrative device that allows you to enjoy dinner conversations with an invisible couple by sitting in a chair and picking up the items on the table. As the story unfolds, the tension between the two parties is manipulated by the user's interactions with the objects in the space, creating unique performance between the system and the user. This installation combines sensor data, scripting language, and system logic to achieve responsiveness and unique dramatic experiences. This project was founded by Rosalind Paradis who graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2016 under the MFA design and technology major.

We start this cycle of "good" stage. The couple is basically okay; the interaction is positive or close. Then, with the advent of "real life", tension began to form. We call it an intense construction phase. These tensions range from bad days to great life changes such as pregnancy and unemployment. It is worth noting here that all relationships have a period of tension. In a healthy relationship, the couple may discuss whether they do not agree, but the two have equal power in the relationship. In battle, abusers need power and management, which is the basis for anger and corruption. Tension is on the rise. In the meantime, survivors often explain their feelings that they are "walking on the egg's shell".
