David Livingstone

David Livingstone is Scottish missionary and doctor. He spends most of his time exploring Africa. He helped Europeans learn much about the continent of Africa. Livingston was born in Scotland. His parents were very religious, so David followed the footsteps of his father. David is a very hardworking man and he knows that there are not so many Christians so he wants to go to Africa; and he knows that many people do not know Christ . At the age of ten he began working at a local cotton factory, he had to work for a long time, and his salary was too little.

From 1840 to 1872, Scottish missionary David Livingston made a series of explorations focusing on Congo in Western European countries. During these trips, Livingstone has been away from Europe for two years. New York Herald asked Henry Morton Stanley to search for him. The two met in Uji Temple on the east coast of the lake Tanganyika in 1871. Three years later, Stanley was asked to continue exploration started in Livingstone. Stanley began traveling the Congo from the upstream with three friends in the UK and finished the trip in 1877.
