In this task we will explain and compare the two methods of discourse analysis, Speech Act Theory (SAT) and Conversation Analysis (CA) strictly. This comparison explains the advantages and disadvantages of each method, its similarities and differences, and their application to education and learning. Discourse analysis is an analysis of the language used (Brown and Yule 1983). It also examines how the scope of the language is meaningful and unified for that user (Cook 1989). Discourse analysts also focus on language description and analysis, and textual interactions, taking into account the context of language and usage context (McCarthy 1991). Its main purpose is to understand and understand the text more deeply.

Discourse analysis, as well as content analysis and factor analysis, may be handled (incorrectly) as a method of data analysis. However, first of all, discourse analysis is a methodology rather than just a method (Angermüller, 2001; Fairclough and Wodak, 1997; Jørgensenand Phillips, 2002; Phillips and Hardy, 2002). Therefore, it includes a series of assumptions about the constructive impact of language and social practice as well as data collection and analysis methods (Milliken, 1999; Wood and Kroger, 2000). Selection of discourse analysis approach includes the purpose and scope of this analysis, complex balanced behavior between research topic and the type of data you want to collect (see Wetherell, 2001, p. 380).

There are two methods commonly used in the paper, quantitative methods and qualitative methods. This paper uses a quantitative method. Quantitative methods include analysis of numerical data.
