Daniel Boone

Daniel Boone was born on October 22, 1734 and later died on September 26, 1820. He was America's pioneer and hunter, and his cutting-edge adventure made him one of America 's earliest heroes. Boone is best known for his exploration and settlement in Kentucky. Despite being boycotted by the American Indians, Kentucky was a traditional hunting ground, but in 1775 Boone took a wilderness road to Kentucky through Cumberland Gorge.
