Damodar River

The city of Bardhaman is located on the bank of the Damodar River. The river begins at the Sonajuria waterfall at Mount Bijonsa in the Palampur district of Bihar.

The river connects to the Bararkar in Disergarh and then flows through the Bardhaman district. Before joining Bhagirathi (Ganges River of Murshidabad), it continued flowing in the Hooghly district and Howrah district.
