From the late nineteenth century to the early 1900s, a woman in Yosemite National Park built a dam in Hetchy Hetchy Valley in Yosemite State Park, causing a violent debate. Discussions were held between the local naturalist and the urban engineer. Discussions before the construction of the dam will be discussed as well as the impact on the population after the dam is completed. As a nature lover, I can sympathize with those who want to preserve the beauty of Yosemite's natural beauty, but according to the facts, I think the dam is not only necessary but also beneficial to the citizens of the surrounding area I will.
The title of my introduction work is a bit misnomer. Technically, the first "national" park is Yosemite. Yosemite was a state park at the beginning, so I said "countryside". In the last year of the Civil War, President Lincoln signed the park as a law in 1864, but due to the conflict Yosemite will control California. America will have to wait for the first real national park. The fusion of Yellowstone and the mountain landscape combined the imagination of the railroad and the protectionist and they let Congress set up the first national park. Congress approved the park in 1890, but there is no room for debate. Councils, particularly members of the Western countries, are cautious about curbing the development of the United States
On July 1, 1864, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Congressional Act to hand over Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Globe 's huge Redwood (to Yosemite National Park later) to California. According to the bill, private ownership of the land in that area is no longer impossible. California is designated as park management, "public use, vacation, entertainment". Leases have been allowed for up to 10 years and their earnings are used for protection and improvement. There was an open discussion after such first legislation, and there was a fierce argument as to whether the government has the right to make parks. The accidental management of Yosemite by California is the reason why Yellowstone was placed under state control in six years.
