Cursive Writing: A Waste of Education?

In addition to writing a signature, when was the last time you wrote a cursive note? If you answer honestly, you may have been months or years, as you last wrote letters and documents with grass. A cursive style is said to be able to write quickly by connecting the flow of letters. Handwriting is most popular among older generations. The Legislature is currently discussing whether cursive writing should be included in student's common core curriculum.

Thirty years ago, the cursive body had a famous legendary past. It was an important element of American education but is now becoming an ancient art and it has been introduced into the educational system due to technical progress and testing requirements by more regulatory authorities. Cursive scripts need to be deleted from the education system because they do not need to waste time and resources to teach students unfavorable skills in the near future. Two sophomores of John F. Kennedy of Ferndale, Justin and Colina are glad that they could learn cursive books. When asked why they are studying cursive, Corina pointed out that "she likes these letters". Meanwhile, Justin pointed out, "I believe that learning to write cursive is very smart." Initially it may be fun for kids to learn cursive books, but as they progress, they will soon know that they do not need it.

Along with recent changes in school curriculum, educators insist on whether students should continue to study cursive writing at school. Some people think cursive curiosity is a necessary skill for teaching, but there are people who believe that teaching cursive writing is a waste of time because it is not a skill that the modern world needs.
