Cultural Practices between Men and Women in Nigeria

Women in Nigeria are expected to act in some way, and in most cases they are expected to remain 'conservative' and traditional, not as visible or audible as men. Modern women challenge this idea, but Nigeria still has a long way to go to get rid of the patriarchal system. With this in mind, more women are discouraged by friends and family engaged in music careers. For a few successful in entering the industry, fans criticized female musicians who actually decided all their movements and dared to deviate from culturally nonconservative space and content. Fellows are free to explore and often celebrate. This kills the creativity of these artists and makes it almost impossible to create exciting and innovative works that help them keep their relevance.
