Cultural Pluralism

In 1962, Ciudad Juarez emigrated to the United States. My family consists of my husband and wife, and two young boys aged 1 and 4. My husband is an experienced shoe shop, despite his accents, he understands English well. Understanding of his words focuses on the need for business communication. The motivation for immigration is economics. My husband ordered a shoe manufacturer and made custom boots. The four-member family moved to Oxnard, California, a strange custom, a new city in a new country.

The term "cultural pluralism" was built by philosopher Horace Karen in the 1920s. In proposing cultural pluralism Karen said that the state should "consciously permit and encourage that group to develop in a democratic way, and each group should emphasize that particular cultural heritage" I believe that. This concept has a long history. Before the Chinese arrived at the end of the nineteenth century, some of the opinion leaders in the US promoted the concept of melting race and culture, but Native American and African Americans were excluded from this vision. Neither "crucible" nor "cultural diversity" has been sufficiently successful to explain the formation of American citizenship.
