Cultural globalization is one of the three aspects of globalization common in scholarly literature, the other two are economic globalization and political globalization. However, unlike economic and political globalization, cultural globalization is not subject to extensive research. There are many attempts to measure globalization, but in many cases we use an index that captures quantitative data on the flow of trade, political integration, and other measurements. The two most notable are AT Kearney / foreign policy globalization index and KOF globalization index. However, using quantitative data to capture cultural globalization is much more difficult, as it is difficult to find ideas, ideas, and fashion flow data that are easy to validate. One attempt to try this is the Cultural Globalization Index originally published by the Foreign Policy Journal, published by Randolph Kluver and Wayne Fu in 2004.
