"There is nothing closer to God than men, it does not provide health to men." Cicero's words fully explain what Cuba's medical system is about to create. But it also helps disadvantaged groups, poor communities, and payment may not be an option. Cuba is trying to accomplish this by planting new ethical guidelines for physicians who graduated from Latin America Cuba Medical University (ELAM), as doctors are forced to be greedy and economically self-sufficient.
Dr. Angeline Cedré Cabrera, professor of ELAM, specializing in maternal and child health, said today's concern about primary care in Cuba comes from the belief that preventive rehabilitation is better than treatment. In addition to regular biomedical training as a doctor, students will also learn about humanitarian, unity, and ethical values. "Here, students will learn to become doctors of science and conscience doctors," she said. I do not yet know how Cuba's medical method will change all over the world. In recent years, thousands of South Africans came to ELAM and are helping to bury a lot of domestic doctors. Third grader Jalkie stated that Cuba 's efforts to prevent prevention are major changes for South Africa. In South Africa, he said, "We will wait for people to get sick and then we will try to help them."
Moore is one of 93 American students enrolled in Latin American medical school and Spanish is abbreviated as ELAM. In a sense, this is Cuba 's reaction to Harvard' s Kennedy Government graduate school and other places, training experts all over the world. However, unlike the Kennedy School, which is better suited to the Davos school, ELAM students are particularly trained in the low income community. Almost all ELAM students can participate for free, whether from the Cuban government's funds or from the central government.
Through the story of ELAM graduates, we learned about the history of medical schools that brought about revolutionary medical care around the world. Grassroots leaders and activists from the US and Cuba are trying to make schools and scholarships a reality.
