1 We propose an efficient way to generate cryptographic keys from fingerprint biometrics using cryptographic key generation that cancels biometrics using cancelable biometric technology. This method takes a fingerprint as an input and extracts a feature point from the preprocessed fingerprint image. We use preprocessed fingerprint images using histogram equalization and winner filtering. Next, a template that can be canceled is generated from the feature points extracted using the one-way conversion function. Finally, an encryption key is generated.

Several methods for generating new proprietary biometrics have been proposed. The first fingerprint-based cancelable biometric system was designed and developed by Tulyakov et al.
