Edward Thorndike is one of the most respected psychologists who define psychology as "science of animals including humans, character, behavioral science". In critic literary works from a psychological point of view, the life of the writer is related to behavior and motivation. Characters of literary works are criticized. In the short novel "Amontillado's Cask", the author is Edgar Allan Poe, he depicts himself and his way of thinking in the story. - In Edgar Allan Poe's "The Ametillado Cask", the character Montresor is seeking revenge for a man named Fortunato.
