Criticism of Democracy in Different Countries

Muslims are the pioneers of the European Enlightenment, but they did not follow the governance system by a general choice (Lewis 62). At that time, the concept of freedom and freedom is unknown. Nonetheless, average Muslims have chosen to oppose their problems through negotiations and oppose the doctrine of being involved in a network that employed Western rules (Lewis, 57). The reason why Muslim countries criticize democracy and secularism is often described as the influence of the Islamic fundamentalism approach.

The basic idea of ​​democracy is the government governed by the people. However, the democratic implementation of each country is different, it depends on the national historical and cultural factors. Pakistan, Egypt, and Indonesia are Muslimist countries and prove their ability to maintain a democratic regime. Based on this fact, my hypothesis is that Islamic countries are compatible with democracy, as long as the Islamic countries are still respected by Western countries. If both countries maintain a deep mutual understanding relationship in the future, we can avoid intense conflict between Western countries and Muslim countries.

Today, at least in the United States, we are using democracy. However, we are not direct democracy, but representative democracy. Democratically vote democratically and decide who should make a decision at home. This is different from direct democracy in ancient Greece. In the democratic referendum, people decide not to choose to make a decision. Even if you do not believe it, the word "letter" comes from the first two letters of the Greek letters of Alpha and Beta.
