Chapter 2: Theoretical Framework: Critical Social Theory and Critical Educational Theory Public and private schools have many social problems, including race, class, and gender. These social problems can be analyzed from the viewpoints of critical social theory and critical education theory. These theoretical frameworks capture social problems occurring in public schools and private schools and link them to society as a whole. More specifically, critical social theory and critical education theory consider the relationship between social change and social struggle (Clark, 2006).

"Critical theory is a theory trying to release and change the dominant social order" (Baran & Davis, 2012). Critical theory is a social theory dealing with various aspects of society. There is a tendency to criticize culture such as media, advertisement, consumer culture. In addition, critical theory is also used to study how to use information technology to deal with education, focusing on social, political and economic social relations as well. - Social relationship emphasizes only typical white family, so it can be expanded to population. However, psychodynamics theory is trying to cope with the weakness of social connection, but it may expand to population.

Critical theory is a social theory that faces criticism and changes society as a whole, in stark contrast to the traditional theory that only understands or explains it. Critical theory is aimed at exploring the surface of social life more deeply and clarifying the assumption that hinders us completely and truly understanding the mechanism of the world. The critical theory known today can be traced back to Marx's economic and social criticisms in many of his work. The theoretical explanation on the relationship between Marx 's economic infrastructure and the ideological superstructure tends to greatly stimulate it, especially focusing on how power and control work in hyper organization.
