In Western countries, the crisis of immigrants and refugees is alleviating the political debate. The city here is also very important. Today, two-thirds of the world's 21 million refugees live in urban areas. As nationalism and anti-immigrant sentiments increase, cities have the opposite view and tend to positively establish safe shelters for immigrants and refugees. In Poland, where foreign phobia is becoming increasingly popular, Gdansk city council unanimously announced that they would welcome refugees. Mayor of Gdansk partnered with two other Polish cities, Wrocaw and Wabrzych, to cooperate in an open and intercultural dialogue. In Belgium Mayor Mayor was awarded the 2016 World Mayor Award on Immigration Integration. In the United States, the mayors of Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and to name a few, undocumented migrants are trying to ensure that their city becomes a safe haven for federal eviction .
In recent signs, immigration debate angered refugees' right to public goods. Angry local people ask, "Why refugees, illegal immigrants, or other outsiders get free things, but we do not?" In other words, since these critics do not regard immigrants as part of social contracts, they feel that they are not entitled to social benefits. It shows directly the relationship of unity, redistribution, and immigration. Social contracts determine the official members of society, such as the rights and obligations of members. This means that who is who you are and who is not considered part of society will greatly influence the right to draw what individuals will enjoy. In other words, a person defining a person who is a party to a social contract also decides where to draw the solidarity boundary.
There are important differences between refugees and immigrants. Refugees are regarded as people whose background - religious or political background and perfect fear or persecution threats forced them to leave the house. Prior to coming to the United States, refugees often suffered serious injuries, lost their families, and fell into refugee camps. Unlike many immigrants, refugees do not plan to leave their hometown without hope and return home.
