Creon's Hubris Caused the Conflict of Antigone

The main cause of Sophocles' play "Anti Gone" is pride. Everyone should be proud, but Kryon has so many things that he should be ashamed. His pride in his power and abuse of power was his miserable flaw and eventually led to his downfall. On the other hand, Antigone is proud of his beliefs and has the courage to say that his idea is correct. For this reason, Antigone is seen as a glorious character and hero of a drama. Things usually have two aspects, and pride can be a source of strength and self-destruction.

There are three fundamental disputes in the conflict in Antigone that caused a violent conflict between Antigone and Kryon. Initially it is a conflict between the individual and the state, Antigone represents the individual, and Kryon represents the country and the state. The second dispute can be described as conformity and ideal, strictly obeying the law. In this conflict, Antigone made decisions based on his conscience and ideals, but Kryon was a strict law compliant king. Finally ... Antigone "With these excuses, I will pile the Earth past the brother's body" (63). Nobody will help her, but Antigone unduly took a stance and buried her to respect her brothers, but if someone complains about such brothers, this action is imposed of death penalty . Especially in the Antigon era, it is considered stupid to just violate human orders, not to mention the king. It goes without saying that Antigone is related to the king.

Through three broad disputes roughly you can see why the battle between Kryon and Antigone happened and why. Kryon represents the law of the world, Antigone represents the law of the soul. This creates a clear conflict in life. Certain human laws are unfair in some cases for some reason. Such situation came after the Antigone Brothers Polyneices Eteocles died in Thebes' civil war. In Creon 's eyes, Eteocles chose the noble and right side of war, but Polyneices suffered from Creon' s career. As Polyneices' actions clearly violated the state and its law, Creon decided not to do proper bury. Of course, as his sister Antigone wants to see the brothers being buried properly, and now is particularly important for various polytheistic beliefs.
