I saw Crazy Rich Asians, which made Kevin Kwan's best-selling novel a movie, and I wondered how to read this title. That's "crazy rich", "Are they crazy rich?" Or is it "crazy rich" because they are crazy, because they are rich? Jon M. Chu's movie will surely convey the luxurious character of the former interpretation, but if the latter is a movie atmosphere it will be a bit shorter. This movie is based on a book that is part of the Crazy Rich collection, just as Black Panther was based on the comic series, and is now part of a crazy and rich movie series. If Crazy Rich Asians can save money like Black Panther, you can expect more crazy sequels. Furthermore, from the trailer, money seems not to be the purpose, so let's hope the movie returns at least that budget for that wardrobe.
