The fairy 'coyotes and buffalo' provides a wealth of information to readers in the native American story. The overall theme of the short story is trust and loyalty. Throughout the story, Buffalo is a good example of these two characteristics. In addition to killing Coyote, he believes that Coyote gives him a new corner. Then he trusted Coyotes to hear his instructions about giving Coyotes a cow. Buffalo bull is faithful to coyotes. Because he keeps his promises and gives unlimited meals through cattle. However, Coyote shows the function opposite to these functions. When he breaks his promise and kills the cow, Coyote is neither reliable nor faithful to Buffalo. Coyote thinks Buffalo will not notice him only by giving him another cow, but the gift is a test of loyalty of coyotes failure.
The theme of trust and forgiveness is published in short stories "Coyote and Buffalo". Coyote laughed at the death of Buffalo Bull. "He picked up the skull and threw it in the air, he kicked it out and spit it, he packed dust in his eye's hole" (line 48, line 11 and line 12 What the coyote did paid even to help Buffalo recover his old herd. Buffalo will show the young wolf a young cow and if he needs it it can feed him. Coyote is not allowed to kill animals and eat fat. After a while, Coyote was tired of eating fat so he assumed that Buffalo's cow could not find it, he killed the cow. When he went to the Buffalo herd to ask another cow, he learned that his original calf was there living. Coyote asked Buffalo to give him a different chance from another cow, but Buffalo refused. Coyote had to return to his hometown Buffalo and hunger. (Row 52, lines 92 to 94)
Coyote is traveling on the plain outside the mountain. He came to the unit. He found an old Buffalo skull there. This is the skull of Buffalo Bull. Coyote is afraid of Buffalo bulls. He recalled that Bull Buffalo had been scared him over and over and he smiled and saw the old skull in the apartment. He picked up his skull and threw it into the air; he kicked it up and threw up; he threw dust in his ice socket. He did these things over and over until he got tired. Then he took his way. Soon, he heard a loud noise from behind him. He thought that it was thunder, he saw the sky. The sky is clear. I kept singing, thinking that he must have thought of the sound. He heard the noise again, and his voice was approaching. In retrospect, he saw Buffalo Boole flying back and chasing him. His old enemies were resurrected!
