Country of Origin Meat Labeling

A big problem in our country is the meat label of the country of origin (COO). Imported meat is not indicated as its source, it is a big problem because there is no general packaging and processing method. The United States imports meat from 26 countries. In short, you can buy meat from anywhere in the world by buying a hamburger from a local grocery store. Meat quality of other countries is different from American fleshy. Some of the meat comes from a country like China where it is legal to keep livestock from scratched animals.

This lawsuit was brought up in the Federal Court of Spokane in order to reverse the March 2016 decision of the Ministry of Agriculture to revoke the requirement to display imported meat products as country of origin. In the lawsuit, it is claimed that this change made it possible to sell the imported meat as a US product. Prosecutor in charge of the prosecution, David Muraskin of Washington DC stated, "Through this lawsuit, we are developing a policy to prioritize multinational companies over domestic producers and to keep our food supply secret."

Until I saw Erin Brockavich's article on the House's vote to abolish the Place of Origin indication, I began to question the quality of the meat I was consuming. I began digging some serious dirt in the meat industry. The more I study, the less I like the serious connection between us and the food we consume. I have no information on countless documentary and torture of animals and lack of ethics in the factory, so I am not going to hunt for abuse of animals. You may have noticed that grandparents are not a good day to buy meat at a supermarket, absorb the sun and pasture on fresh lawn.
