The American community correction program is based on the same principle as promoting public safety and security by accommodating individuals who violate social law. However, there are some similarities, but there are some differences between the correctional plan and the philosophy of each state. Therefore, similarities and differences between North Carolina State and Oregon State will be analyzed and investigated separately. North Carolina State is promoting citizens' protection and safety mission by providing viable offenders with viable alternatives and meaningful surveillance.
Prior to 2015, we needed data collected from fatal forces from all police cases in two states, North Carolina State (143 B - 904) and Oregon State (181 789). North Carolina State collects data at the Public Security Bureau and requires the announcement of the annual report on the number of police officers involved in the death. Oregon State requires law enforcement agencies to gather specific information about each deadly unit, such as the name of the deceased, gender, race, ethnicity, death age. In 2015, several states called for collection of police statistics on the use of fatal forces and weapons emissions. California state (provincial code ยง 1255.2) states that from 2017 all law enforcement agencies will report when a peace officer shoots, or when shot by a civilian or injured as an officer I request it.
