The nursing program is based on a bachelor's degree in professional nursing practice (American College of Nursing Association, 2008). This document emphasizes the core knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of professional medical practice in the 21st century. These core knowledge and accompanying skills are incorporated into education and clinical courses. Consistent with these AACN and NLN documents is the standard developed by the University Nursing Education Council (CCNE) and the Nursing Education Certification Council (ACEN). Course development is also guided by ideas included in the three American College of Nurses (ANA) publications, Clinical Nursing Practice Standards (2010), Interpretation Statement Nurse Code (2008), and Nursing: Social Policy Statement (2010) I will.
At the undergraduate nursing department, I believe that undergraduate degree (BSN) is an elementary level indispensable for professional nursing practical education. BSN degree prepares for generalist nurse. At the same time with professional care standards and Mary's mission, vision, philosophy, the teacher believes that the practice of nursing is based on knowledge, theory and research. The university believes that graduate care education is based on the knowledge and skills defined in the Baccalaureate Essentials document and prepares for advanced care practices. The goal of the university is to master advanced knowledge about the depth and breadth of professional practice for nurses in the postgraduate program. The nursing faculty graduates will be successful leaders, effective collaborators and mature research consumers. These graduates are socially responsible, sensitive to the culturally sensitive and changing medical environment.
My research in nursing education involves working with graduate students to identify factors related to nursing students, nurses, and teachers' growth and development. My undergraduate degree program is responsible for overseeing basic nursing, nursing procedures, nursing education, and clinical research and organizing nursing internship programs at university. As a member of the committee established by the Osaka Care Association, I also teach educators of nursing schools about evaluation of nursing education.
