Italian contribution to American society When Italians moved to the United States they brought strong family relations and many different qualities. Quality ranges from special products to architectural concepts. These qualities have made rapid progress in the society they touched. The diligence and morality of the Italians, and their pride, gave the changing US a permanent impression. Italians have contributed to American culture and society by sharing their skills in religion, tradition, entertainment, food, architecture, and holidays.
Italian-Americans have made progress in engineering, science and business, but one of the biggest contributions of Italians to Americans is food. Italian cuisine is almost welcomed by Americans almost immediately. Many Italians succeeded in their food through the establishment of the restaurant and the manufacture of frozen and canned foods such as Ettore Boiardi, more famous chefs, Boyardee. Indeed, some foods such as pizza are rooted in culture and are regarded as Americans rather than Italians.
Italian American cuisine is Italian cuisine adapted all over the United States. Historically, Italian-American food has been called Italian-American by various immigrants and their descendants. Many immigrants bring their own Italian regional cuisine tradition as immigrants from all over Italy settle in different parts of the United States. Little Italy has held many events throughout the year. The most popular Festa is held every October (American Italian Cultural Heritage Month) to celebrate the positive contribution of Italian-American to the United States. The festival was created in 1994, attracting thousands of visitors and spans 12 blocks. Other popular activities include Granfondo San Diego (Cycling Event), Mission Art Walk (to celebrate Visual Art and Performing Arts), and Madonna del Rume (Festival to be held in Porticello on Sicily). It happened on the third Sunday in October when the statue of Madonna was placed on a rose with a fishing boat model and then marched through the street in Little Italy to the waterside where the fishing boat's blessing ceased.
