Alan Marsden is a senior lecturer at the Lancaster Modern Art Institute at the University of Lancaster and is an editor of the New Music Research Journal. His first training was a music analysis, and he began using computers to do research in the field during his Ph.D. course at Cambridge University. His research over the past 25 years has focused on the formalization of the concept of music theory with the aim of better understanding of smarter music software and music. Recent research has focused on music structure, especially calculation analysis of Schenkel analysis software.

Liao is a Ph.D. in musicology and Associate Researcher (IReMus - MINT, CReLM) of Sorbonne University. Her research focuses on music, identity, cultural heritage analysis of contemporary Asian music, and femininity in that field. Liao continues modern composition study with Yoshihisa Taïra, Allain Gaussin, Philippe Leroux. Her music is being played by international orchestras such as Cairn, Proxima Centauri, Multilatérale, L'instantdonné, Arsenal, EIC, LaCitédela Musique 'l'Opérade Paris, IRCAM, Pompidou Center. She is also the artistic director of contemporary concerts in the modern art museum in Paris.

Claude Ledoux is a composer and music analyst. He is enthusiastic about all kinds of voices and is very fascinated with Asian music tradition. He is currently an art curator at the contemporary music festival "Ars Musica". Currently he is a professor of composer and cognitive music analysis at CNSM in Paris, and is a professor of composition by Mons (Belgium) Arts 2. In 2008 - 09 academic year, he taught music analysis of contemporary music and composition at Sao Paulo University and Campinas University (Brazil), and as a visiting professor at the Shanghai Conservatory in 2013. He is a member of the Belgian Royal Academy.
