In December 1936, the US Department of the Interior authorized the Colorado River Authority to construct a low dam at the ancient ferry intersection (Marshall Ford) at the river. Marshall Ford dam was completed in 1941 with the cooperation of the US Pioneer Bureau (USBR) and Texas Under Colorado River Authority (LCRA). The original purpose of the dam was to prevent flooding from destroying Austin, Texas. Since its establishment in 1846, the capital has suffered severe damage from previous floods.
Glen Palmer Dam in Yorkville, Illinois is located in the Fox River, a low dam with a long history. The original dam was built in the 19th century and the current dam was built in 1960. The dam has an improved ogy peak of 530 feet long and about 5 feet tall. In the absence of riverbed protection, a water wash hole is formed at the bottom of the dam, and the hydraulic jump is sunk in the water of all the tails. In 1976 concerns about the number of fatalities caused local officials to demand a national evaluation of the dam. In response to the discovery of the flushing hole, a 2 foot equivalent lip was placed in the flush hole to eliminate hydraulic pressure. However, in the 1991 hydrological survey, it was shown that clefts at the bottom of the dam were washed away and new holes were formed.

Northern and western parts of Egypt are also deserts. There are many geographical factors affecting Egypt, but the Nile river has the greatest impact on the development of the Egyptian economy. As everyone knows, the Nile provides abundant soil to Egypt, but it also offers abundant natural resources. Papyrus grows naturally only in the Nile Valley and Egypt controls the production of papyrus (nature)
Construction of the Aswan High Dam in Egypt began in January. A dam of 364 feet long and 12,562 feet long was built on the Nile, completed in 1970 and it cost about 1 billion dollars. The dam made a reservoir of Lake Nasser with capacity of 5.97 trillion cubic feet. This dam has a positive impact on the Egyptian economy, as the dam produces a lot of hydropower and better control of the flood and drought situation. On the downside, construction of the dam drove out thousands of people, affected agriculture, causing natural fertilization of the surrounding soil.
