Conformity and Individuality

As a human being, our lives are centered on thin blue lines. The time to draw this line is too short or too long, so it will be too general or personal.

Compliance is essential to life. Humans as complex animals live in a society where the whole is functioning. If an error occurs, the entire system may crash. So, we have an obligation to pay taxes and respect the law so that we can be together as a whole.

Compliance is completely natural. Abraham Maslow's hierarchical theory considers that acceptance is one of the most important goals in human life. I hope that we belong naturally to larger ones. We want nature to be accepted by others. But from a modern perspective, this acceptance can be achieved beyond general integration, by stepping into rather than entering into general integration. At one stage, whether it is music, movies, or morality, there is a tendency to follow the same trend of style and personal preference.

Conformity is psychological sanctuary. If you do not know what to do, if you are afraid, naturally follow the steps of other users so that you can finally find the group to avoid. In a sense, compliance is a remedy for isolation.

Modern people may not understand their value, but personality is as important as integration. One thing, we want to do something different in some way with others. Therefore, we may acquire various choices and we may choose to do whatever we really like. And once, we may form our opinion based on our real emotions. But sooner or later we will be obliged to suppress voluntary desires. Because of that, because you are afraid of loneliness, society never calls strange or strange things.

Sometimes our vision is ambiguous because the modern life is confusing and the choice we made in the confusion forces us to move toward the extreme direction of unity or individuality maybe. In everything we do, we can follow everyone. Alternatively, we may become privacy guardians.
