Condemned death row inmate who once escaped from Harris County Jail loses appeal

The Texas Criminal Court of Appeals dismissed the appeal from death row prisoners in Texas at Harris County Prison in Houston.

Charles Victor Thompson was convicted of being killed in his apartment in Houston outskirts in 1998 as killing his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend and was sentenced to death. His decision was dismissed by the court in 2001. The court's ruling on Wednesday gave a ruling on his second judgment case and he was again sentenced to death.

Thompson waited for a new punishment hearing at Harris County Prison, released himself with the keys of smuggled handcuffs, and went out safely using loose prisons. Three days later, 42-year-old Thompson was arrested near a nearby Shreveport.

In the past decade, the tendency for more death row prisoners to run has increased and we are facing appealing over the years over the years.
