The concept is the basic element of the theory and provides ideas for nursing research. This concept provides knowledge applicable to nursing practice, education, and management. (Parker & Smith 2010). Concept analysis brings clarity. The concept analysis method has the following steps. Definition of concept, choice of analysis, identification of all uses, definition of attributes, case of conceptual model, influence on concept, and definition of empirical reference to concept (Walker & Avant 1995) I decided to conduct a conceptual analysis. Care theory using this concept is Orem 's care theory.

Concept analysis is a combination of seven steps that clarify concepts in our nursing practice (McEwen & Wills, 2014). The term self-care is the concept of Orem's self-deficit theory. The purpose of this conceptual analysis is to clarify the concepts, especially for rehabilitation patients, and to determine how they are used in nursing practice. We will further explore this concept through literature review, possible usage of this concept, its attributes, models and alternatives.
