Computer Software Should be Free

Whether you are in the U.S. or in Bangladesh, everyone around the world likes to hear that computer software should be free and free of charge. Normally, if something is advertised as "free", there is something to capture. Regardless of whether it is a hidden shipping fee and a hidden promise, something can get you almost. So far, the word free is usually not related to computers or computer software. If you know the right place to see on the internet, people can find the software they are looking for, whether it is legal or illegal.

A similar online dispute has also continued with free software over the past few years. Many people think that computer software should be free. After paying $ 1,500 for your computer, you do not think that at least that software should be free. The entire operating system (such as Linux) and word processors (such as Abiword) are generally free. But Microsoft executives short of funds refused to disclose the source code of their products. While Microsoft may refuse to distribute its software for free, organizations researchers conclude that efforts to prevent piracy of music are meaningless. This is because the peer-to-peer sharing program gained in popularity and the organization and efficiency were updated. An estimated 31 million Americans share their music with their computers. This is over 10% of the country.

Open source and free software are very valuable public resources in computing for decades. Android is currently the most commonly used computer system in the world. It is Linux based and is a typical example of free software movement. Since 2001, I have used the first SuSE and the latest Ubuntu on home and business laptops. That is the other two types of Linux. The public examples of other free software you might have heard include Chromium and the Firefox web browser, Open Office and LibreOffice (I type), and a free email client Thunderbird. Even Apple's iOS and macOS are based on BSD Unix. BSD was born at the University of California, Berkeley in the 1970s and was donated to the free software community in the 1990s.
