Computer-aided language learning (CALL) is a computer application in language education. This field is completely interdisciplinary and has 28 major contributions from second language acquisition, educational technology, psychology and computational linguistics. Many authors tried to provide guidance for development and evaluation of CALL teaching materials. Levy (1997) suggests that (a) philosophy and teaching method of language learning, (b) computer role, (c) starting point, and (d) role of teacher need to be taken into consideration. Obviously, the concept of language learning and teaching methods preferred by educational designers have a great influence on all aspects of educational products.
In recent years, computer - assisted language learning has been integrated into foreign language education, computer programs with different levels of interaction between computer and language learner are being developed. Language learning support such as writing support for foreign languages and supporting reading of foreign languages is a specific language skill for foreign language learners and is an alternative tool for foreign language learners. According to the report of the Thomas Center for Languages in the UK in 2004, the second language is that the wages of regular workers can be increased by 3,000 pounds (3,300 euros) per year or 145,000 pounds (159,000 euros) in their lifetime.
