Comparing Villains in The Speckled Band, The Final Problem, and The Cardboard Box

Comparing the villain of the spotted band, the last question and the cardboard box, I chose to see three villains from three different stories. These are Dr. Roylott of "The Speckled Band", Professor Moriarty of "The Final Problem", and Jim Browner of "The Cardboard Box". Each of these villains has its own qualities. One is a victim but also a bad guy, one is terrible, the other is the most embarrassing criminal officer in the world. Their "dirty work" approach is different, and they all have quite different motives.
