Comparing the Culture of Cambodia and American Culture

After comparing Cambodian culture with American culture, after reading the novel "Son of the River" I learned some customs practiced by Cambodian people in that country. In this article I will explain some examples of those traditions and compare them to American culture, as seen in my most familiar novel and Honduran culture. A good example of this contrast is when Sundara, the main character of the character, explained Jonathan (page 23) and that in Cambodia the school's students respect teachers.

Culture is a social act, a criterion to express social and national identity. It includes architecture, languages, arts, music, dance, clothing, customs etc. In most cases, when people think of Cambodian culture, they first think about the symbol of Cambodia in the ancient Hindu temple, especially Angkor Wat. However, Cambodian culture is much better than its ancient architecture. The art of Cambodia and the culture of Cambodia have a rich history dating back centuries ago and are strongly influenced by India. Cambodia has a long history of culture and civilization, mainly influenced by Indian countries. Buddhism and Hindu religion are involved in Cambodian people's living notice. According to rationality, personal experience and critical analysis, about 95% of the population of Cambodia are seated Buddhists. This is the main Buddhist in Southeast Asia including Cambodia, which is currently influencing the culture and etiquette of Cambodia.
