Comparison of Oceania and the USA in 1984 In this article we discuss the similarities and differences between Orwell's "1984" marine society and American society. First, we discuss similarities and complete the differences. Everything is based on information on facts gathered from books and mainstream media. Then, I draw out my idea, leading to the conclusion that the government system is more similar or not.

A show in 1984 that our life is not a secret as it is now. There is no privacy in Oceania, the United States is like this. In some respects, the United States already resembles Oceania. There are many elements that can be compared with every aspect of today's American society in books. So George Orwell is correct in many ways, and probably a government very similar in 1984 will appear soon. One element of 1984 was "Big Brother". He is the ruler of Oceania. He is not a person, he is the name of the whole government. Big Brother can represent our government today. We may not know, but the government knows everything about us. What they need is our name and social security number. They can learn a lot about us. The government has our previous job, goes to school and where we live. Big Brother is the same as a book, maybe it is bad. My older brother is interfering with our government today. The only way to escape from things is to think about them.
