Comparing Linux, Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Macintosh Platforms

One of the key elements of software engineering is the platform. There are various kinds of computing platforms. Some of them include AmigaOS, Linux, Windows, Solaris. These examples are just a few of the various computing platforms. The types of computing platforms can be categorized into three different categories, including examples of operating systems, running software frameworks, and hardware examples.
