Research by Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky had a great influence on teaching methods and methods. Both contribute to the field of education by providing an explanation of the children's cognitive learning style and ability. Piaget and Vygotsky may differ in how they perceive their cognitive development but both provide educators with good advice on how to teach specific teaching materials in a developmentally friendly way . Piaget suggests that cognitive development from young children to adolescents occurs in four general and continuous stages, sensory movement, preoperative, specific surgery and formal surgery (Woolfolk, A., 2004) .

In this exercise, we compare the two learning theorists and the impact they have on education and learning. My main focus is Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky, but Jerome Bruner is also mentioned. First, the task explains Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development and critically analyzes it. Next, I explain Lev Vygotsky 's strengths and weaknesses of social cognitive development theory and critically analyze it. Two research theorists are examined and compared, and the influence that they have on effective educational practice

Life and work of Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky have similarities and differences. Both were born in the same year in 1896. That number was 84 years old. Vygotsky died at the age of 38. They share research in the same field, developmental psychology. Both Piaget and Vygotsky believe that learning is the cause of higher order thinking. However, while Piaget focuses on individuals with more constructive views, Vygotsky uses a positive theoretical approach focusing on social interaction. Teachers can improve student performance in elementary school using effective educational strategies based on the development of Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky and cognitive psychology. But before the theory of Piaget and Vygotsky is carried out in the classroom, administrators and teachers need to understand the life and theory of Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky.
