Comparing Hobbe's and Locke's Theories on Nature

The two books I want to get information from my paper are Hobbes 'Leviathan' and Locke's 'Two Government Theories'. This article will focus on the differences in views on the natural state of Hobbes and Rock. One of the most important and important things that Hobbes is different from rock is that he believes that the state of nature is the same as the state of war. Thomas Hobbes is a British philosopher who lived between 1588 and 1679. He witnessed many incidents throughout his life and then wrote his work "Leviathan" in 1651 after the end of the war.

Rock 's political theory is based on the theory of social contract. Unlike Thomas Hobbes, Locke believes that human nature is characterized by reason and tolerance. Like Hobbes, Locke believes human nature allows people to be selfish. This is obvious with the introduction of currency. In the state of nature, everyone is equal and independent, and everyone has natural rights to protect their "life, health, freedom or wealth". Although suggesting other origins, most scholars follow the phrase "pursuit of life, freedom, and happiness" in the "American Independence Declaration" of Rock 's rights theory.

In this article, I will briefly introduce the social contract theory by Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau. I will explain what social contract theory is and why. Then according to Hobbes, Locke and Rousseau's paper pointed out the state of nature. It also proposed differences in opinion among these natural state law scholars on social contracts and finally suggested a critical understanding of social contract theory given by Hobbes, Locke and Rousseau.
