Joseph Conrad's book, Secret Sharer and Heart of Darkness, developed around the story of good and evil. Among these two stories, I am fascinated by evil, but the main characters Marlow and the captain need to achieve their goal of knowing more about themselves and getting control. Likewise, the captains of Marlow and Secret Sharing in the dark heart have attained their goals of life at the end of their struggle. Equally, evil is a form of power in both books. Evil has a magical meaning, it becomes a kind of wealth. Both Leggatt and Kurtz acquired their powers, and when they realized their power consciously, it led their identity. Joseph Conrad indicated to readers of his book that evil exists among all of us.

In the story of Joseph Conrad 's "Secret sharing person and dark heart", the characters of short stories are common to both. Joseph Conrad explained human's true inner self within two novels, and he began doing so with direct titles. Conrad finally showed evil of us all through his unique sentence style. Both of these stories tell the story of two characters, hidden, dark, and evil. Joseph Conrad's book has a similar approach, but neither is a dialect of good and evil. Joseph not only writes about good and evil, but also how well a good person relates to the evil person and the similarity of each other's mind.
