In this article I would like to compare and contrast the three theories of Chinese tradition. In China's history, Taoism and Buddhism are two major philosophical and religious traditions of Confucianism. Taoism started in China in the 6th century BC. Like Buddhism, he came to China from India in the second century of a common era. They say that they have shaped the lives and thinking of Chinese people nearly 2,500 years. Eastern society is a mystery of many Westerners. Its cultural and technical traditions are very different from those of the West. What influenced China's largest oriental civilization? The basis of Western thought is said to come from the ideas and principles advocated by Socrates, Plato and his contemporaries. It can be said that the principles of Confucianism and Taoism are the basis of oriental thought.
This course will examine the main tradition of East Asian thought from a comparison perspective. Topics include Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, modern nationalism, and East Asian political thought. Through this process, important comparisons and comparisons of Western and Oriental ideas will be done. Prerequisite: Excellent stand. Please investigate the philosophical traditions of ancient China and modernity and understand how these are reflected in the development of China and Japan. Courses are conducted in English, but Chinese or Japanese students have the opportunity to use these skills. Graduate students are required to complete research papers of length of workshops; undergraduates will write papers. Prerequisite: The upper section is 113 B
Several authors have dealt with comparative studies of Taoism and Christianity. It was always useful for students of religious history like J.J.M. De Groot et al. A comparison between Lao Tzu and Jesus' teachings of Nazareth was done by several authors who believe that there is similarity and negligible like Martin Aronson and Toropov & Hansen (2002). In the opinion of J. Isamu Yamamoto, the main difference is that Christianity preaches an individual's god and Taoism does not preach. However, some authors including Lin Yutang believe that some of the moral and ethical principles of these religions are similar. In neighboring Vietnam, it is proved that the values of Taoism adapt to social norms and form new social and cultural beliefs with Confucianism.
