Comparative Analysis of Cultural Ideologies in Norway and the United States

Comparative Analysis of Norwegian-American Cultural Ideology The purpose of this paper is to study individualistic and communityistic cultural ideologies in two different political environments. The first challenge when comparing the two countries is to decide which method is best suited. There are several ways in political science to prove that it is most useful when compared. In this study, we will examine the political system, process, constitution, and government functions in the selected two countries using the comparative government approach.

There is a limit to trying to compare the United States with Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland - this book emphasizes the four countries with Viking's pedigree. Needless to say the differences in culture, population, politics, the United States is far beyond these countries. Living in the Scandinavian countries is not always idyllic. Nordic countries are always one of the countries with the highest quality of life, but they are not immune to anti-immigrants and authoritarian political impulses.

American political ideology refers to various American ideologies and ideological demographics. American citizens usually classify themselves as a position in the political realm, such as liberal, progressive, moderate, conservative. Contemporary American liberalism is aimed at protecting and expanding the guarantee of human rights, social and civic rights, and the government providing positive rights. It is a combination of social progressiveism and some degree of liberalism, very similar to social liberalism in Europe. American conservatism usually refers to a combination of economic liberalism and liberalism and social conservatism. It is aimed at protecting the concept of small government and individual freedom, while promoting the traditional value of some social problems.
