The Milwaukee Female Center is one of only two domestic violence shelters for Milwaukee County women and children. In addition to evacuation centers, we also offer a comprehensive plan for the entire family with the aim of ending the cycle of violence, abuse, and addiction and taking over so many families from generation to generation.

Founded in 1980, the Milwaukee Women Center provides comprehensive services and treatment for women, men and children affected by domestic violence, poisoning, psychological health problems and poverty.

In June 2007, the Milwaukee Female Center became a division of community advocacy groups to ensure the continued flow of important domestic violence in Milwaukee County.

Participating in a comprehensive human service organization, the Milwaukee Women Center further expands its service menu to help people meet their basic needs, including safety and relationships at their own home.

In 2016, 1,891 people received service and support through the Milwaukee Female Center.

Our emergency shelter provides comprehensive domestic violence services with 122 women and 92 children, 173 low-income homeless women and 290 children.

Our elder abuse women's program has supported 95 intimate partners and 95 victims of adult women over the age of 50.

The Never Moabatarars treatment program trained 163 men, 68% of whom completed the 6 month course

Our intensive alcohol or drug abuse treatment program, the POWER program, helped 51 women, our bilingual family intervention program covers 59 African Americans and Latin American / men and their families I am doing.

442 women enter the labor market again and 269 men provide free clothing and employment preparation support to men

In addition, we cooperate with the communities of New Hampshire and Vermont communities once a week to support the less-educated group of New England through a non-profit community service program.
