Community Service Hours

In order to complete the four hours I needed, I did two separate community service projects: I taught some of my mother's girl scouts about emergency. This project functions as a community service. However, students holding a fund-raising event can count time participating in the event as a community service. From the 2011 academic year, all regional service hours must be completed through 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations, or federal, state, or municipal agencies. JROTC etc. can not count on community service time. If students need to participate in activities as part of their class, they can not be used for graduation requirements. However, if the student is a member of the community service as a member of the group, the volunteers participating (National Honor Society, Key Club, Church Youth Group, etc.) and the time to satisfy the requirements described in this document are counted as community services It may be done. People are thinking about community service, they think that volunteer activities are just "the time necessary to be able to graduate", and that is it. Community service is only a few hours and community services are based on actions someone has done to support or benefit the community. Because community services are often offered to small criminals as an alternative to fines and imprisonment, they are often compared as punishment. But community service is an important force.

• Mandatory social service time - We absolutely object to obliging HMC students to fulfill their hourly social service obligations. We feel that our students are already in difficult times and community service time weakens HMC's ability to effectively implement strict courses. Also, as community services are mandatory, students can not express their ideals. We believe that only sincere personal passion will force the student to take a meaningful step to fulfill social responsibility.
