Although the Comanche Indians were part of northern Shoshone, Wyoming, they parted from them and moved to a modern area in the southern plain. When Europeans met them, Comanches lived mainly in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Most Comanche live in Oklahoma today. The Comanche tribe has its own government, law, police, and services like a small country. However, Comanches is also a US citizen and must comply with US law.
