Most library collection development policy statements include descriptions of user needs, an overview of what is collected to fulfill those needs, users who collect what the library staff collects, and topics that are regularly added to the collection Includes a very detailed breakdown of. After Kroeger passed away in 1909, the American Library Association asked Isadore Gilbert Mudge, Columbia University Library Reference Director, to inherit the project.
