Most library collection development policy statements include descriptions of user needs, an overview of what is collected to fulfill those needs, users who collect what the library staff collects, and topics that are regularly added to the collection Includes a very detailed breakdown of. The policy statement contains the first three, but there is no detailed breakdown of the topics the library got. The latter message is in a database that has not been converted to Web access. We will provide this additional information soon.

Over the years, efforts on this project only thanked me for the treasures of libraries and archives around the world. After Kroeger passed away in 1909, the American Library Association asked Isadore Gilbert Mudge, Columbia University Library Reference Director, to inherit the project. In Colombia Mudge began trends that lasted decades and their reference staff basically "send four lives as editors, administrators, collectors and field reference experts" (Plotnik, 130). The majority of the guide's work is done with regular reference responsibilities for collection development and research requirements to support students and professors. Meanwhile, the index of the reference material was expanded, and two modifications of the reference guide of the reference book of 1923 and the guide of the reference book of 1929 were carried out.
