Color Barriers in The Theme for English B by Langston Hughes

Through many civilizations, culture becomes a dominant force and can be seen under most power and influence. This mainstream culture can influence its inferiority culture through its influential economic or political power - imposing its values, words and actions. This taxation brings social barriers between cultures, including racial discrimination and economic differences, as a culture is considered to be superior to other cultures. Historically, social barriers have been established throughout the world; in the United States there are isolation law and civil rights movement.

Langston Hughes is an African-American poet and writer, and along with other black artists beat the literary barriers during the civil rights movement. This poem entitled 'English B Theme' was written 30 years after the birth of the Harlem Renaissance, but still reflects the reason why the Renaissance began at the beginning. Through his poem "The Theme of English B", Langston Hughes proved that despite the different flesh color, Americans have similarities, learn from each other and exclude discrimination . When Black Americans were not considered Americans, Langston wrote this poem in 1900. He said that black students are assigned to write articles about themselves.
