College Suicides and Depression

Sadly, frustration at college has killed some students. However, at the moment it is impossible to know which university has the highest suicide rate. The university policy is very different in tracking and reporting student death. Because university suicide is often considered a criminal matter by an investigator, it is difficult to obtain information on them. In many cases even colleges and universities do not know anything about student details.

Determining the increase in suicidal ideation among college students is an important step for attempted suicide attempts and prevention of suicide at the university campus. Suicidal ideation may be most prominent in major depressed patients, but this does not mean that only students with severe depression have major risk factors for suicide.

In this research, we tried to investigate factors related to the relationship between suicide ideation of college students and the severity of depressive symptoms. The results of these studies support the view that elevating suicidal ideation is not limited to university students with severe depressive symptoms. In other words, individuals with minimal and moderate symptoms of depression may also easily experience the idea of ​​suicide. Overall, the results obtained show that improvement of suicidal ideation is not limited to university students, their scores indicate that they experience severe depressive symptoms, and on the other hand college students with lower depressive symptoms develop more High suicidal ideation The pattern of this result was reproduced on various instruments designed to measure various samples, several self-evaluated depression, and current suicide ideation
