PSU's environmental science research group interacts with physical, chemical, ecological, and biological processes that build and maintain ecosystems. The environmental science and management program (formerly known as environmental science and resources) provides two undergraduate courses: environmental science and environmental studies

The Environmental Studies Program focuses on resource management and policy and studies natural science, social science, geography and environmental policy. Environmental research courses are recommended for students interested in working in organizations and organizations involved in environmental issues.

In addition to the general educational requirements of the university, students majoring in environmental studies must meet the following requirements:

Environmental science core covering ecology, chemistry, environmental system and physical geography (28 credits)

Foundation including subjects such as biology, chemistry, resource management, economics (32 to 34 credits)

Skill list skills including quantitative analysis, visualization of spatial data, field methods, writing skills (20 credits)

Covered areas of specified fields including freshwater resources and management, forest resources and management, urban environment, ecology and conservation, environmental policy and land use, and nature and culture (including 2 units of ESM course and 2 regional courses) unit)

B. A needs art, science, mathematics, and students of nursing college. Many of these students meet the requirements by taking a quantitative inference course. These courses are characterized by various activities, including cooperative learning and widespread use of technology, in accordance with the Survey Education Law.
